Raulerson hearing from heavy hitters
Celina (Texas) offensive lineman Jake Raulerson is just a junior, but is already receiving plenty of recruiting attention. The list of schools recruiting him sounds like a who's-who of the nation's best programs.
Michigan followed through with an unofficial offer on Thursday. His primary recruiter is Darrell Funk, the Wolverines' offensive line coach.
Not only is Raulerson being recruited by some of the nation's best football programs, but he's also receiving attention at a number of positions. He could play either side of the ball in college and seems to have offers to play just about anywhere on the field.
Michigan is recruiting him at offensive tackle. His position at the next level won't be a factor in his decision.
So what does matter to his college decision? According to Raulerson, he's seeking a comfort level with the coaching staff and college atmosphere.
He's already taken a few visits, primarily to schools close to his home in Texas. Florida, Ole Miss, and Alabama are also among the schools he has seen in person. One school that he hasn't had a chance to see yet is Michigan.
Raulerson's options at the college level seem limitless, and the Michigan offer give the Wolverines a shot to land him.
