Indiana RB visits Iowa

Indiana running back Remound Wright has had a busy spring as he is trying to get out and visit as many schools as possible on his long list of potential suitors. Last weekend, the 5-foot-9, 190-pound Wright found his travels taking him to Iowa City as the highly recruited prospect watched the Hawkeyes scrimmage in their final practice of the spring.

The trip was Wright's first visit to the Hawkeye State, although he has been in contact with the coaching staff for some time now. Iowa was one of the first schools to offer the running back several months ago and during the visit, he was impressed with the football atmosphere in Iowa City.

As a junior, Wright put up big numbers at Fort Wayne's Bishop Dwenger High School, finishing with 218 carries for 2,049 yards and 40 touchdowns. That kind of production has led to a number of early scholarship offers with more likely on the way.

Currently, he holds written offers from Ball State, Western Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Iowa, Northwestern, Stanford, and Boston College. Purdue and Illinois have verbally offered and Notre Dame might be getting close.

Wright's unofficial visits so far include Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Indiana, Stanford, Purdue, Ohio State, Florida, and Pittsburgh. He plans to stay on the road this spring and summer as he continues to look for the best fit in a school.
