Price has unlimited potential

Austintown (Ohio) Fitch lineman Billy Price will have a wide range of options when he finally decides on his college destination. He already holds offers from the likes of Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Ohio State, and last week Michigan joined the fray.

Fitch has three seniors already committed to BCS-caliber schools. Twins Chris and Demitrious Davis are headed to Pitt next fall, while running back Will Mahone is committed to Notre Dame. Their younger teammate, however, could end up being the biggest recruit on the team.

The 6-4, 280-pound Price has plenty of potential. He's a two-way starter at the high school level and the question remains which side of the ball he will ultimately choose once he reaches college. His frame is large enough to pack on the necessary muscle to become an elite offensive or defensive lineman, and he has the athleticism needed to excel at either position.

Price's work isn't done, however. There is always room for improvement, and the three-sport athlete will do what it takes to step up his game. Though Fitch's season came to an abrupt end with a 6-4 record following a loss last week, the elite prospect will continue to work on his game.

Anarella is taking a hands-off approach to Price's recruitment. Though he's available if his young lineman needs advice about the process, it's up to Price and his family to make sure that Billy ends up at the right school for him.

In today's recruiting atmosphere, verbal commitments are made and broken frequently, so his coach would prefer Price be certain before committing to any school. Because of that, Annarella encourages his players to take official visits to see every school they can.

No matter when he commits, the school that lands Price will be very happy with the decision.
