McLaughlin leaving Washington
The Washington basketball program sent out a press release on Friday morning to announced that Mark McLaughlin would be leaving the Huskies.
The release reads as follows:
"Mark McLaughlin has decided to leave the University of Washington to pursue other opportunities. Although he was only here for a short time, we enjoyed working with Mark and wish him the best in his future endeavors." -Head Coach Lorenzo Romar
Coach Romar and other school officials will have no further comment at this time.
McLaughlin, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound wing, is a Bothell native and had transferred to Washington from Tacoma C.C.
A three-star prospect according to Rivals.com, McLaughlin was the highest-scoring junior college player in the nation last year, averaging 27.5 points per game.
As a freshman at Seattle University during the 2010-11 season he averaged 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
