2017 4-Star Cornerback Elijah Molden Commits to Washington

Washington has picked up a significant commitment prior to kickoff of its game against USC. 2017 four-star West Linn (Ore.) cornerback Elijah Molden announced via Twitter he has committed to Washington, ending his processes a little earlier than anticipated.

Molden committed to Washington over Stanford and Oregon, who are coincidentally playing each other Saturday. The four-star cornerback and Oregon legacy was considering making a second unofficial visit to Washington before the end of the season, but no date had been set. A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Rivals that Molden is visiting Washington and committed prior to kickoff.

Washington now has eight four-star verbal commitments and all four defensive back commitments are four-star prospects, with Keith Taylor, Brandon McKinney and Salvon Ahmed as the other three.

Molden also becomes the second player from the state of Oregon to commit to Washington in 2017, joining four-star defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu. We will have more on the commitment of Molden following the conclusion of the Washington-USC game...
