2018 three-star Sumner (Wash.) athlete Tre Weed spent the majority of his Saturday visit to Washington talking with head coach Chris Petersen and his program. While the rising in-state prospect didn't walk away with an offer he did take away a couple meaningful parts.

"I spoke with coach Peterson and got caught up with him," Weed told Rivals of his conversation with the UW coach. "He said he remembers me when I came to watch the UDUB vs Stanford game and he remembers me when he came out to watch one of our games Sumner vs Puyallup."

Weed showed well in the 76-35 victory over Puyallup and has already received offers from BYU and Montana State, with several others showing interest. While the Huskies have shown interest this past weekends visit was more of a relationship-building opportunity for the three-star prospect.

"The visit was great. It was fun walking around and checking out the dorms and the campus and facilities," Weed said of his visit. "And it was great to see coach Peterson's presentation on Built For Life. The built for life presentation was great it definitely is something I would want to live by day by day and it shows who you are and the presentation was great and the Built For Life can change lives."

Petersen was the only coach Weed spoke with during his visit, but he also said he feels his relationship overall is said with the staff.

With his visit to UW in the books the three-star prospect is hoping to take a couple more unofficial visits this spring to Cal, Eastern Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and UCLA.
