Bush Hamdan, Matt Lubick Assess UW Offense After Rose Bowl Loss

LOS ANGELES – For whatever reason, Washington, playing in its the third consecutive New Years’ Six bowl game under head coach Chris Petersen, failed to arrive on time mentally for kickoff.

Or so it appeared Tuesday night in the Rose Bowl.

UW trailed Ohio State 28-3 heading into the fourth quarter before a switch flipped. The Huskies scored three touchdowns over the final 15 minutes in Pasadena, only to have their resilient comeback effort fall just short at the end.

After the game both offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Bush Hamdan, and co-OC / wide receivers coach Matt Lubick, noted that the offense as a collective unit executed better in the second half compared to the first 30 minutes against the Buckeyes.
