Malachi Riley is one of the prospects on the West Coast who is gaining plenty of interest from Pac-12 programs heading into the spring. The 2023 receiver from Centennial High School in Corona, California holds offers from programs across the country hoping to eventually earn his commitment.

Riley has continued to push forward in his recruitment with schools such as Oregon, UCLA, Baylor, Arizona, Ole Miss, Colorado and BYU among the programs that have already offered him up to this point.

The 6-foot-2 receiver continued the process of getting to know schools with some recent visits taking place earlier this month including a swing through the Pacific Northwest that took him to Oregon, Oregon State and Washington.

So far Riley is enjoying the process of being recruited as it has allowed him to build on some of the bonds he formed since before even taking a snap as a high school player.

“Relationships,” Riley said about what he has come to value during the recruiting process. “I feel like the relationship is the biggest thing in this, because you don’t want to go somewhere you don’t have a relationship with your position coach. That would just be terrible.

“So, just the relationship, the feeling of home, somewhere you can live for three to four years of your life is the biggest thing for me.”

The visit with the Huskies was an important one as many of the current coaches have been involved in pursuing Riley during their time at Fresno State. Being able to see Kalen DeBoer and the staff in a new setting was something Riley wanted to make happen as soon as possible pushing him to take the trip to Seattle earlier this month.
