Last Friday afternoon Washington assistant defensive backs coach Will Harris paid a visit to one southern California high school and extended a relatively late scholarship offer.
The offer, for three-star Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty wide receiver / defensive back Ramon Henderson, caught the versatile senior somewhat by surprise. Prior to last Friday, Henderson had only met Harris once and the Huskies hadn’t been in constant contact this season.
After Liberty defeated Clovis West 38-14 in their first-round playoff game Harris delivered the news to Henderson. Harris spoke with the senior’s mother during the game to inform her that he was going to offer, but she didn’t tell Henderson that.
