Five-star Hamilton sees good fit at UW
Isaac Hamilton is one of the reasons Washington fans are so bullish on the Huskies' prospects in the Class of 2013. The five-star combo guard from Los Angeles (Calif.) St. John Bosco had a lengthy talk with UDUBNation.com this week and it certainly seems that Washington fans ought to be optimistic.
Hamilton wouldn't say whether he has any favorites and said he would prefer to wait until he's able to take a few more visits before narrowing the field too much.

Nevertheless he did mention a few schools in the context of who is recruiting him the hardest these days.
"Florida, UConn, San Diego State, UNLV, USC, UCLA, Washington and Baylor," Hamilton said. "It's a little bit too early for (favorites) because they're all saying the same thing."
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard is working on his point guard skills this summer with Dream Vision, his AAU squad. He believes that if he's able to run the point at his size it would make him an even more appealing prospect and greatly help his basketball career down the road.
"I'm really just trying to focus on that point guard position at my size," Hamilton said. "If I can get that down pat I'll be able to play both positions. If you can score the ball and run the team that's big-time."
Dream Vision will be heading off to Vegas for the Super 64 soon, and after that they will head off to the adidas Nations Global event in southern California.
After that it's time for college visits.
"I know I'm going to visit schools but I don't know where I'm going first," he said. "School starts back up in three more weeks so I know I'm going to have to hurry up and start narrowing it down.
"I'm going to do some unofficials and then narrow it down before I take my officials. The west coast schools, I'll probably go to those for unofficials. Then the further out schools, like Florida, UConn and those, I'll do officials to them."
Hamilton has been to Washington once before but that was when he was much younger and his brother, then at Miami, was playing in a tournament at the school.
He has fond memories of Seattle even though the weather wasn't ideal.
"I thought it was nice," Hamilton said. "It was raining and cold because we went there in December but I do remember it and enjoyed it."
Hamilton spoke with Huskies' head man Lorenzo Romar as recently as Wednesday. How did that conversation go?
"Sometimes we don't even talk about basketball," Hamilton told UDUBNation.com. "Sometimes it's just life. That's just the kind of guy he is. We will talk basketball when we get around to it.
"He already knows that he wants me to come there. They've got Nigel (Williams-Goss) already and I would give them the two guards he wants."
Turns out Williams-Goss and Hamilton are pretty tight.
"Oh yeah, every time I see him at camps we usually talk or hang out. He's one of the guys I always talk to," Hamilton noted.
On the basketball side Romar doesn't really have to say too much. He can just point to the players that have come through the program that Hamilton can relate to.
"Washington would fit me real well, especially with the guards he's had. Terrence Ross, Tony Wroten, Brandon Roy, Isaiah Thomas ... he runs that guard set. Being a guard and a scoring guard, I could play either the two or the one. His system really fits me game so that's why they're one of my options."
Hamilton said playing time won't be a big concern when he's making his decision because he knows he's going to have to work hard everywhere he goes. He also said he knows himself and said effort will never be a problem.
"It's really about coaching and the situation, just the environment. I don't want to go somewhere and then wish I was back home," he concluded.
