Holiday drawing major interest early

San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills cornerback Dechaun Holiday has received plenty of attention since the start of the contact period this month.
Notre Dame, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan, Ole Miss and Florida State are all schools that have reached out to the 6-foot-2, 192-pound corner. After all, there aren't many cornerbacks at any level of football with that kind of size and the ability to move.

Holiday said this week that he's open to any school that's recruiting him, no matter what part of the country they come from.
Washington has been recruiting Holiday for months and over the summer the California native visited with the Huskies.
"I visited Washington a couple of months back, I'm not sure of the exact date," he said. "It wasn't for a camp or anything. I was just there visiting.
"I thought it was great. I liked it a lot. I got to see how it is there. I didn't talk to (Steve Sarkisian) but I got to talk to my positional coach and another coach, coach Paopao. I liked them all a lot."
He's just not ready to name any favorites. One reason for that might be simple. He's still waiting for his first offer.
"I think the schools I'll put the most consideration into are the ones that offer me first," Holiday concluded.
