SEATTLE – Aaron Fuller has more than double the total amount of receiving yards and receptions for Washington through the first five games of 2018.

The 5-11, 187-pound junior wide receiver has caught 30 passes and racked up 474 yards entering October. However, Fuller has only one touchdown reception, tied for third most on the team with senior tight end Drew Sample and junior Quentin Pounds.

Fuller has 16 more catches than fellow junior Andre Baccellia (14 receptions); 263 more receiving yards than sophomore Ty Jones (211 yards); and he is the only player to average more than 43 yards per game this season.

First-year offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan said after practice Wednesday that developing a consistent No. 2 receiver for senior quarterback Jake Browning is crucial as the season continues.

“I think it’s always important,” Hamdan said. “I think when [John] Ross was going, and the emergence of [Dante] Pettis, and the different looks the top guy can kinda get might free up the other guy.”

The Huskies play-caller named Baccellia, Jones, Pounds, and junior Chico McClatcher as players who have elevated the depth in the WR room so far this season. Jones is the only second-year to see significant game time due in large part to enrolling early last spring.
