Huskies Focused on Cleaning Up the Details After Season Opening Loss

SEATTLE – Still three days after their 21-16 loss to Auburn, the UW coaches and players are using the narrow season opening loss as another reminder to emphasize the details.

Defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake noted the Huskies struggling to get off the field on third down against Auburn as one key reason for their 0-1 record.

“I would say pissed off. We know that we didn’t even kind of play a perfect game, or near even a perfect game, and we were right there,” Lake said. “So we clean up those details and execute way more then we know the outcome is going to be different.”
