Arden Key has a long time before he has to make his decision. Check that: He's got a really long time.
Only a sophomore, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound defensive end from Lithonia (Ga.) Martin Luther King has already picked up verbal offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Washington and, most recently, Tennessee.
His contact with colleges has been limited but U-Dub assistant Tosh Lupoi is one of the coaches that he has chatted with briefly.
"Basically he was telling me about his coaching career and what he's done," Key told UDUBNation.com. "He was telling me how good I am and that he wants me.
"He was telling me how grades are important and that I can be big-time."
The athletic pass-rusher also had some good news for Husky fans.
"If I was to choose now I would go to [Washington]," Key said.
Key did add that it's early and everything is subject to change. He won't be signing with any school for two more years and chances are he will have offers from just about every school in the nation by that time. But it's clear the Huskies are in good shape early.
