Huskies WR Chico McClatcher Shows Off Leaping Ability During Practice

During an early position drill with wide receivers coach Matt Lubick, UW junior wide receiver Chico McClatcher displayed his flying ability on day three of fall camp.

Lubick said Tuesday he plans to experiment with the former Federal Way HS speed threat, hoping to replace some of the production left in absence of John Ross. McClatcher finished third on the team in receptions (31), receiving yards (574) and receiving touchdowns (five) in 2016 and factors to be a key piece in the Huskies offense this season.

Chris Petersen spent an small portion of the beginning of practice observing offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jonathan Smith working with all four scholarship QB's; Jake Browning, K.J. Carta-Samuels, Daniel Bridge-Gadd and freshman Jake Haener.
