SEATTLE – Jake Browning made it rain from start to finish Saturday night against BYU.

The senior Washington quarterback threw just two incomplete pass attempts against the No. 20 ranked Cougars. Browning missed junior wide receiver Aaron Fuller on a second quarter out route that ended a streak of 11 consecutive completions to start the game.

Both Browning and Fuller said after the 35-7 win that they should have done better to continue the consecutive completion streak, which ended at 11 straight to start the game.

“I didn’t totally know that I had a high completion percentage, or anything like that,” Browning said postgame. “I looked up just to see it and I think we were like 19 of 20, and I think I had two incompletions.

“One of them was missing a wide open out route. So I think if I would have gotten that I think I would have gotten a record or something for the NCAA. So we’ll get better at that.”

Asked directly if he was referring to the incompletion to Fuller, Browning said “yes”.
