ATLANTA -- Following the Rivals Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour, 2017 four-star Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) athlete Jaylon Redd said he is planning on visiting Washington this summer.

UW defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake has played point on his recruitment thus far and while there is touch and go communication, it hasn't been a deterrent.

"Coach Lake for the most part," Redd said, "my coaches went up there this weekend and asked me what I want to inform coach Lake on and all that. I'm still interested - I haven't talked to Coach Lake since he came by my school like a month and a half ago. But I'm going to get up there an take an unofficial one of these days this summer."

Redd confirmed that he will take all five of his official visits, but hasn't begun the process of choosing which schools he'll visit or narrowing things down quite yet. However, the N0.95 overall prospect said Oregon, Cal, UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Michigan have been standing out.

The four-star prospect does not have any unofficial visits set for this summer officially, but will visit UW at some point. Notre Dame and Oregon were two programs that Redd noted as ones he'll take an official visit to, but that he still has to sit down with his parents and sort everything out.
