TV, radio: FSN-NW will televise the game locally, with Steve Physioc and Marques Johnson calling the action. Thursday's game may be heard on the radio on KJR 950-AM.
Coaches: Lorenzo Romar, Washington (ninth year); Sean Miller, Arizona (second year).
Series: Arizona leads the all-time series, 43-24, but the Huskies have won three straight against the Wildcats at home, including a 81-75 win late last season.
About the Huskies: After a trip to the Bay Area last week ended with a split against Stanford and California, the Huskies will look to stay atop the Pac-10 standings with a win over Arizona. The Huskies went with a new starting lineup against Cal, as junior guard Scott Suggs made his first career start. The strategy seemed to work as the Huskies cruised to 92-71 win over Cal. Isaiah Thomas is the player to watch for UW as he has flourished in his new role as the team's point guard after the injury to Abdul Gaddy. Thomas had 27 points and 13 assists against Cal, as he continues to make his case for being the best player in the conference.
About the Wildcats: Arizona comes into this game needing a win to take over sole possession of first place in the Pac-10. The Wildcats are a hot team right now, having won seven of their past eight games, and this week entered the top 25 in the USA Today-ESPN poll for the first time this season at No. 25. Arizona is led by one of the best big men in the country, Derrick Williams (19.7 ppg, 7.3rpg), last year's Pac-10 freshman of the year. Williams is coming off a 31-point, 10-rebound performance in Arizona's 80-69 win over Arizona State on Saturday, a performance good enough to earn him Pac-10 player of the week honors. Besides Williams, the Wildcats are led by junior guard Kyle Fogg (7.8 ppg) and senior forward Jamelle Horne (7.6ppg). No other player on Arizona averages double figures in scoring besides Williams.
