Two Former Washington Receivers Expected To Survive NFL Roster Cuts

The final preseason week has arrived in the National Football League and as a result teams must trim their rosters down to 75 by 4 p.m. EST on Tuesday. Sunday, most teams began making their decisions while waiting until Monday for the transactions to officially go through.

Rivals has learned that former UW wide receivers Jaydon Mickens and Marvin Hall, both of whom signed with the Oakland Raiders as undrafted free agents, are expected to remain on the Raiders' roster following Tuesday's deadline.

The Raiders have not formally announced any roster cuts as of 8 a.m. Monday morning. Mickens played 19 snaps in Sunday nights 27-14 loss to Tennessee, while Hall played just seven.

Across the country former Huskies kicker Travis Coons, who spent the entire 2015 season with the Cleveland Browns after a brief time with the Tennessee Titans during the reason, has been waived.

Coons, who converted 87 percent of his field goal attempts last season, made his lone preseason field goal in the Browns' 30-13 loss to the Buccaneers on Friday night. The former UW kicker is expected to find another opportunity within the next couple days following the official announcement of remaining cuts by Tuesday.
