SEATTLE – Football returned to Husky Stadium on Saturday as Washington earned its first win in 2018, extending the streak of home opening victories against non-conference opponents to 17.
The No. 9 ranked Huskies (1-1, 0-0) showed little emotion for much of the first half in their 44-3 victory over North Dakota. Not until the reserves entered the game in the fourth quarter did UW prove much if anything in week two.
Head coach Chris Petersen said after the game he will wait to see the game tape, but noted the need for better production on offense.
“I really need to look at the tape to really see what he’s seeing and those type of things,” Petersen said, referring to senior quarterback Jake Browning. “There was a couple things out there I think he could do a little bit different . . . but we’ll take a look at it.”
