This spring Jake Overman and his father made their first trek north from southern California to the Pacific Northwest to check out Washington.

At the time, Overman, a 6-foot-4 and 239-pound three-star tight end out of Servite High School in Anaheim, California, did not hold an offer from the Huskies. That changed in early August when UW joined his list of scholarships.

Since then he’s stayed in constant communication with the coaching staff. Overman took his second official visit on Nov. 4 to Seattle for the Huskies 33-28 loss at home to Utah. While the game didn’t turn out as he would have hoped the visit was a resounding success.

He took his first visit to Oregon State on June 21-23 during the early visit period prior to the offer from UW. His final official will be to check out the California Golden Bears, however, no date has been set for that visit.

“It was really eye-opening,” Overman told TheDawgReport.com after he returned home from his UW official.
