SAN ANTONIO — Arizona-based edge rusher Noah Carter will take part in the All-American Bowl Saturday at the Alamodome (10 a.m.). The three-star prospect, who committed to the Huskies back in June, is the lone representative for the program at the all-star event.
Carter, who checks in at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, has put together an impressive showing through the four days of practice with the West team in San Antonio, and he should have an opportunity to have his full game on display come Saturday.
There was no drama with the future UW pass rusher as he remained firm in his pledge to the program throughout the season. Like others in his class, Carter has been impressed by the run the the Huskies have made to the College Football Playoff National Championship, but he is not surprised.
"I think it's the best team in America," he said. "The Dawgs, they're gonna do it every time for me."
Carter's relationships with co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach William Inge and head coach Kalen DeBoer have been vital to the 2024 prospect's connection with the Huskies.
Those bonds pushed him to make his choice over the summer, and he remains as excited as ever about his future in Seattle.
"My main focus is really just to work," he said. "Just earn my name around there in Seattle. Really that, just earning my name."
Carter will be wearing No. 18 during Saturday's matchup that will be televised by NBC.
