When 2018 four-star Bothell (Wash.) quarterback Jacob Sirmon committed to Washington on Dec. 13, 2015 it checked one of two career goals off his list. Wednesday night he marked the final box by choosing the Under Armour All-American showcase game in 2018.
"Honestly one of the biggest childhood dreams come true," Sirmon told Rivals following his decision Wednesday night. "My two biggest goals since I was a kid was to play college football, and become an All-American."
Sirmon is the only Washington commit confirmed to play in next years showcase game. This weekend the four-star quarterback impressed in during the Future50 event put on by Under Armour.
On the recruiting front Sirmon has picked up a handful of offers during and following his junior season, with Louisville being the latest. However the states No.1 prospect in 2018 remains firm on his pledge to Washington while getting another chance to recruit others to Washington.
"Absolutely," Sirmon said with a laugh in response to making a few connections this weekend during the Future50 event. "I'm always trying to get guys to UW. I'm excited to be a part of what coach Pete is doing and want as many guys as I can recruit to help us get back to the playoffs."
Bothell finished 9-3 with Sirmon throwing an impressive 18 touchdowns and just two interceptions in 290 attempts.
