Washington already has two quarterbacks committed for its 2018 class, and now won't have to worry about recruiting the position for three years after securing its 2019 QB as well.

Four-star Graham (Wash.) Graham-Kapowsin QB Dylan Morris, a 6-foot, 185-pound sophomore, arrived on campus at 8 a.m. Sunday morning with his parents and girlfriend to make his college decision official.

"I feel very relieved and I'm really excited because going to UW is a dream come true," Morris said, committing to the Huskies over offers from Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Washington State among other schools.

Morris has been Graham-Kapowsin's starting QB since his freshman year, throwing for 42 touchdowns and 4,000-plus yards the past two seasons. In addition, the four-star QB also plays for Rise Football during the off-season for 7v7 competition.

Before announcing his decision on Sunday, Morris recently visited South Bend, Indiana having added an offer from the Fighting Irish earlier this spring. The visit went well for both Morris and his parents but nothing could top the chance to stay close to home at UW.

"There was nothing that I needed to see from another school so I didn't want to wait any longer," Morris said. "I think just always being a fan of UW and my whole family being UW fans, being around the Husky atmosphere made me fall in love with them."

Morris, the 27th in-state prospect to commit / sign with Washington under head coach Chris Petersen dating back to the 2014 class, said the 2018 commits didn't factor into his decision process.

UW has four-star quarterbacks Jacob Sirmon (Bothell/Bothell, Washington) and Colson Yankoff (Coeur d'Alene/Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) committed for this years cycle, both Rivals250 prospects.

With his college decision behind him, Morris is turning his focus toward preparing for his junior season at G-K and taking more of a leadership role. The four-star QB is the only returning starter for the Eagles this season with former five-star OT Foster Sarell graduate and off to Stanford.

"I think my decision making will improve," Morris said, when asked what he feels he's improve on heading into his junior season.

Morris is the first commitment for the Huskies 2019 class, making it two consecutive recruiting classes where the first commit has been a QB. In similar fashion Sirmon committed well-before his recruitment picked up, knowing he too always wanted to play at Washington.
