Watching a Heisman Trophy hopeful lead his team to a victory over its rival in one of the biggest college football games of the season can leave an impact. Three-star 2025 quarterback Jackson Kollock was in the crowd for Washington's 3-point win over Oregon on Oct. 14 getting an up-close look at the Huskies offense guided by its signal caller Michael Penix, Jr.
Just over a week later, Monday, Kollack made the call to join the program by announcing his commitment to UW.
Kollock had a productive spring bringing in attention from across the country, but UW was the first Power 5 school to enter the mix with an offer. Colorado Minnesota and Cal followed with offers for the 6-foot-4 junior from Laguna Beach High School in Southern California.
UNLV, Campbell and Colorado State also joined his offer list earlier in the process while many other high-level programs from Power 5 schools expressed interest in the three-star recruit.
Kollock has shined as a junior and currently ranks 11th among all quarterbacks in California with 2,564 yards passing. He has thrown 38 touchdowns this season against just three interceptions.
The newest UW commit has also rushed for 311 yards and six more touchdowns on the ground.
He becomes the first 2025 commitment for the Huskies.
