How Ethan Garbers' Commitment Impacts Huskies 2020 Recruiting Class

It took less than a month between when Washington offered four-star quarterback Ethan Garbers, and Monday, when he pledged his future to Chris Petersen and the program.

Garbers, ranked as the No. 12 pro-style QB by Rivals in the 2020 class, ended the main part of his recruitment process by choosing UW over Georgia, Miami, Utah and others.

Now, arguably even more valuable to UW, he can help recruit others to the program including a handful of current teammates at Corona Del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California.

Both four-star tight end Mark Redman and four-star wide receiver John Humphreys hold an offer from UW. However, the pair out of SoCal are also on the radar for many other elite national programs with Redman holding 22 scholarship offers and Humphreys 19.

With Garbers secured the chance for both recruits to join him in Purple and Gold has increased slightly. Since the Huskies failed to sign a TE this past February for the 2019 class, and hired Junior Adams three weeks before National Signing Day, this years’ class could very well feature the Corona Del Mar trio.
