When UW offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan runs his first spring practice in March he will have a plethora of seniors to work with.

On Sunday junior running back Myles Gaskin announced via Twitter he will return for his final season at Washington. The Huskies all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (43) is just 51 yards shy of passing Napoleon Kaufman for the rushing yards record, and close to breaking several other UW records as well.

Gaskin, a former three-star recruit from O'Dea High School (Seattle, Washington), joins quarterback Jake Browning and both starting tackles, Trey Adams and Kaleb McGary, in returning for their senior season in 2018.

With Lavon Coleman graduated having Gaskin for one final season maintains a veteran presence in the room. Behind the senior-to-be is sophomore Salvon Ahmed, who flourished in a limited role as a freshman this past season rushing for 388 yards and three touchdowns, along with Kamari Pleasant and Sean McGrew, both redshirt sophomores.

Gaskin notched his third straight 1,000 yard season in 2017 and more than slightly doubled his touchdown mark for a year ago, finishing with 1,380 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground. He accomplished both career high marks while also having a career low 222 carries, down from 237 in 2016 and 227 in 2015.
