With the commitment of 2017 four-star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco wide receiver Terrell Bynum on Wednesday night, Washington is now up to three verbal commitments for the class of '17. I figured I would take this time to run down a few prospects and compile a recruiting blog...

2017 five-star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco offensive tackle Wyatt Davis, uncommitted -- Davis confirmed to Rivals.com he will make a return trip in the coming weeks to Washington, this time with his parents. This will be the second unofficial visit in almost one month for the No. 19 overall prospect in the nation for 2017.

"I'm still very interested in Washington," Davis told Rivals.com this week. "I just want my parents to see it. Told them I really liked it up there and I feel you guys should see it."

Davis recently trimmed his extensive offer list down to a top 15, which included the Huskies. When he visited Washington last, it was with Bynum and four-star offensive lineman Brett Neilon.

The Washington staff are a big proponent of getting parents to visit with prospects, but with Davis the staff definitely wanted him on campus regardless. Now with his parents visiting the Huskies could vault very high on his list, especially with Davis' strong relationship with Head Coach Chris Petersen and offensive line coach Chris Strausser.

2017 three-star Denton (Tex.) Ryan defensive end Earnest Brown, Northwestern commit -- Washington defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe has found a new defensive end target, again from the state of Texas. The Huskies are still actively recruiting several high four-star prospects but are increasing their interest in Brown.

At 6'5, 230-pounds, Brown is an ideal fit for the nose tackle or defensive end slot on the line in their 3-4 defense. We will be talking with Brown this evening for a full report, but he's definitely one prospect to keep an eye on moving forward.

Wide Receiver Recruiting Following Terrell Bynum's Commitment -- As we've stated several times the Huskies are taking between 13-15 prospects for the 2017 class. Two of those prospects will be wide receivers and after Bynum's commitment, there's only one spot left.

Washington Wide Receivers Coach Bush Hamdan has a bevy of targets already high on Washington, including four-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei receiver Osiris St. Brown and three-star prospects Alex Cook and Ty Jones.

Cook informed Rivals.com he will take an unofficial visit to Washington on April 22, an earlier visit than expected having already set his official visit to UW for Nov. 12 vs USC. The three-star prospect has maintained his high interest in the Huskies and his second visit could seal the deal.

"I never got the opportunity really to talk to the coaches and see what Washington is really all about during my last visit," Cook told Rivals.com recently. "He's [Hamdan] probably going to do all he can so I feel confident and comfortable about being a Dawg. [I'm] not sure yet [on committing during the visit], we'll see how the dice rolls."

At this point the ball is in Hamdan's court to choose his second wide receiver commit for 2017. But there isn't a shortage of options at his disposal.
