With four defensive back commits now secured ahead of the early signing period that begins December 19, UW once again has another star-studded secondary headed to Montlake.

The latest addition to the Huskies 2019 recruiting class is four-star athlete Trent McDuffie, one of the top 50 players from the state of California according to Rivals rankings.

McDuffie announced his commitment Wednesday night on Twitter, choosing UW over offers from 25 other programs including Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon and Stanford to name a few.

Ranked as the No. 28 athlete from the Golden State by Rivals, the t 5-11 and 175-pounds, defensive back can play either safety or cornerback for Jimmy Lake when he arrives next June to begin his college career. However, McDuffie is the only secondary commit who isn't listed at 6-foot or taller.

But adding the talented St. John Bosco HS (Bellflower, Calif.) defender to class gives UW a total of seven four-star recruits for 2019, with a potential to add at least two more before the 72-hour early signing window from Dec. 19-21.

Rivals' National Recruiting Analyst Adam Gorney told TheDawgReport.com that McDuffie is a 'perfect fit' for the Huskies already talented defense.
