LAS VEGAS — Washington head coach Mike Hopkins became emotional when asked about Keion Brooks, Jr. during Pac-12 men's basketball media day Wednesday at Park MGM in Las Vegas. The Huskies coach was asked how to best describe Brooks to which he replied, "loyalty."

The pair then embraced as Brooks and fellow Kentucky transfer Sahvir Wheeler stepped on stage for their time with reporters.

This year's UW squad was picked to finish ninth in the Pac-12 by conference media members Wednesday, but Hopkins has confidence that his group can finish much better than that by the season's end.
