Commit: Huskies Land 2018 Three-Star Cornerback Dominique Hampton
The Huskies commitment list continued to grow Monday as three-star Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial cornerback Dominique Hampton announced his pledge to Washington.
Hampton, a 6'2, 185-pound corner recent visited Colorado and Oregon, with both schools pushing UW hard in the last few weeks. The three-star recruit visited Washington back in June for the first Rising Stars Camp and earned an offer after a strong showing.
The Ducks offered Hampton on July 13 and hosted him on July 25. However, the relationship he developed with defensive backs coach / co-defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake and him producing DB's to the NFL put the Huskies over the top.
Washington now has 13 verbal commitments for its 2018 class, ranking No. 28 nationally per Rivals' rankings.
