Former University of Washington wide receiver Isaiah Woods, who legally changed his name from Renfro in June 2016, is returning to play college football after leaving the game to deal with anxiety and depression.

The 6’1, 207-pound receiver announced his decision to enroll at Portland State University, a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) school who finished winless in 2017 including 35-32 defeat to Oregon State in week two.

Woods signed with UW as a key cog in the 2015 recruiting class, the same year that quarterback Jake Browning entered the program and the two having built a strong relationship during their respective recruitments.

He appeared in all 13 games as a true freshman for the Huskies and finished with 13 receptions and 178 yards.

Woods will join former TCU receiver Andre Petties-Wilson, a senior, as the only two players to have FBS experience on the Vikings roster in 2018.
