Former Rivals150 prospect and sophomore backup quarterback Jacob Sirmon has entered the transfer portal, Rivals has learned.

Sirmon, one of two signal-callers signed in the 2018 recruiting class along with fellow four-star Colson Yankoff, previously entered the portal last April, but elected to remain with the team.

He did not win the starting quarterback job heading into this season and it was expected that Sirmon would look for a new start after this year.

With Kevin Thomson leaving after this season and Sirmon departing, the Huskies will enter next season with only three scholarship quarterbacks; redshirt sophomore Dylan Morris, freshman Ethan Garbers and 2021 signee Sam Huard.
