After sending out a cryptic tweet on Thursday night, Seattle (Wash.) Lakeside point guard Daejon Davis announced his decommitment from the University of Washington on Friday.

The four-star prospect had been committed to UW since August 25, 2015, and attended almost every Huskies' home game for the 2015-16 season. But after thinking his decision through the No.39 overall prospect backed off his pledge to consider other options.

"I just haven't felt the same about it and I have never looked at any other options," Davis told Rivals.com. "So I just decided that I'd at least look around and find my most fitting college to attend, which could stuck very well be Washington."

The Huskies now have zero prospects committed for their 2017 class, but still have several high profile targets. UW is very much in the mix for five-star Columbia (Mo.) Tolton Catholic shooting guard Michael Porter Jr., the No.2 overall prospect in the 2017 class.

Several other local prospects have Washington high on their list including shooting guard Jaylen Nowell, the No.56 overall prospect in '17, and small forward Corey Kispert, the No.84 overall prospect.

Davis will still consider UW but wants to get a feel for what else is out there.

"I'm open to anything right now," Davis said. "I just want to play my game and those who appreciate my game will likely offer me a role on their team."
