With Washington already holding a quarterback commit for both 2017 and 2018 already, the coaches have been working toward building relationships with quarterbacks in the 2019 and 2020 classes.

One of those quarterbacks, Hank Bachmeier out of Murrieta Valley HS (Murrieta, California), took a quick unofficial visit to Washington in mid July for the Huskies' Rising Stars Camp. While he didn't stay long the rising sophomore signal-caller enjoyed the trip.

"It was great I liked it up there a lot," Bachmeier told Rivals on Friday. "Well honestly it was a pretty quick trip. I wish we could have stayed longer to get the entire feel and culture of the university. So I really just got a quick sight of the school and went to the camp."

Thus far, the sophomore quarterback holds only one offer from Colorado, which he picked up back in February. UW has only offered one 2019 quarterback in JT Daniels, but with more focus on the quarterbacks there could be more coming both in-state and out of state.

Bachmeier has mainly been recruited by area recruiter and recruiting coordinator/running backs coach Keith Bhonapha. But he also spoke with UW Head Coach Chris Petersen and offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jonathan Smith.

"Overall the facilities and city of Seattle were amazing," Bachmeier said. "The coaches were great and I can see myself attending there in the future."

The 6'2, 185-pound gun-slinger showed promise in his freshman season at Murrieta Vista, throwing for 2,854 yards and 36 touchdowns to just eight interceptions in 12 games.
