Washington has produced four tight ends to the NFL over the past five years, including Will Dissly, a fourth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Huskies return sophomore Hunter Bryant this fall, a four-star recruit out of Eastside Catholic High School (Sammamish, Washington) who sign in 2017, as arguably the No. 1 target for senior quarterback Jake Browning with the most receiving yards of any returning player.
Dating back to Austin Seferian-Jenkins, a second-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014, Huskies TE coach Jordan Paopao has been either a graduate assistant or full-time coach for each of the four players to make in from UW to the league.
When Bryant is draft-eligible following his junior season in 2019, Paopao could be on his way to developing another four-star recruit to follow the same path.
