The Under Armour Game played in St. Petersburg (Fla.) is the first major post-season all-star game that Husky fans will want to pay attention to. Here's why.
Under Armour Game, Friday, January 4, 2:00 p.m. PST, ESPN
UW Commits: Demorea Stringfellow
UW Targets: Na'Ty Rodgers, Reuben Foster
Why to watch: There's no bigger target than Reuben Foster, the elite linebacker from Alabama who is slated to visit Washington next week. Landing Foster is going to be a huge chore but simply being mentioned with the five-star prospect has stirred up a ton of excitement in the U-Dub fan base.
Rodgers is unlikely to sign with Washington but he's still listing the Huskies. He took his official visit and it seemed to go well. But South Carolina and Maryland are the clear front-runners.
It's a huge stage for Stringfellow, who has drawn great reviews for his frame, physicality and pass-catching skills this week. He's the main reason to watch. He has a chance to make a splash and cement his status as a Top 100 player nationally.
This game doesn't have a lot in the way of Husky commits or targets, but it's always a big event and between Stringfellow and Foster especially it's worth a look.
